Brit is one of my dearest friends, associates, and fellow directors. I’ve been incredibly blessed to work with her voice for many years and I always tell her she can sing me to sleep anytime. She has the ability to sing with such a classic, retro star sound. Her ability to deliver a classic musical theater piece, showcase a traditional Disney song, or dig into a timeless jazz piece is her greatest gift in my opinion. I’ve watched as she worked tirelessly on her second bridge and has the ability to deliver a lyric cadence or dig into a belt song like nobody’s business. In a lifetime, we are lucky to find certain people that we connect with on a higher level where art and life just flow. Brit has been that person for me and one of my happiest places will always be accompanying her at my piano while she sings me one of her many treasures she introduces to me.
